Fairness
Results are fixed from a client seed, a hashed server seed, and a nonce.
Dice
Each Dice roll is locked in when you press Play. It comes from the same three values as Mines:
- Client seed. Text you can read anytime. Type a new one, or leave the box empty and press Change client seed to get a random one.
- Server seed. A long random string kept on the server. It mixes letters, numbers, and symbols such as + and /. Until you change your client seed, you only see its SHA-256 hash.
- Nonce. A counter shared with Mines and Limbo. It starts at 1 and goes up by one every time a Mines, Dice, or Limbo round starts.
Server seeds written in blue are still hashed. Change your client seed after any open Mines round is finished. The old server seed is then shown in the normal text color, and you can verify every Dice roll that used it.
The roll joins the server seed, client seed, and nonce with hyphens, then hashes that with HMAC-SHA256. The first eight characters of that hash become a number, and the roll is that number modulo 10001, divided by 100. It lands somewhere from 0.00 to 100.00. Roll over wins when the result is higher than your number. Roll under wins when it is lower.
Open this code, replace the three values at the top with the finished roll, then press Run.

A blue server seed is still hashed. After you change your client seed, it is shown in normal text and you can verify every roll that used it.
Verify a roll
Paste the revealed server seed, the client seed, and the nonce. A blue hash will not work here.
Verification script
The checker is already loaded on OneCompiler. Open this code, replace the client seed, server seed, and nonce with the finished roll, then press Run.
